I am a photographer who works at the intersection of visual storytelling, research, and long-term collaboration. Since 2015, I have been developing a body of work that brings together scientific, spiritual, and cultural perspectives, exploring how images can awaken deep layers of memory and reconnect us to the living world we are part of.
My journey led me back to Uruguay, where I immersed myself in rural life and traditions, culminating in the publication of Raíces Vivas (Planeta, 2024), a book on the legacy of the gauchos. Over the years, my practice has taken me across South America – from my father’s homeland to the Andean-Amazon regions of Colombia – where my work has grown through encounters that weave together art, research, and shared practice, grounded in reciprocity and the wish to protect what sustains life.
As a photographer and cultural practitioner, I see photography as a tool for collaboration and amplification, a way to support and give resonance to voices that invite us to listen differently.
In my work, nature is never a backdrop. It is a force, a mirror, and a source of inner strength. My portraits and documentary projects seek to reveal this constant exchange – where people and the land shape each other, and where traces of memory, resilience, and vitality become visible.
